Jason Matthews
Hi everyone. I am having issues with weird colors reflecting through the glass from the interior when doing an exterior rendering. I have nothing in the background that would give off this color. I am using radiosity with daylighing. I model in autocad and file link to viz 2005. The colors look like the interior colors from cad before the materials are applied. The first image is with the glass and the second image is without glass. Thanks in advance. Jon
I model the same way you do, model in CAD and then file link to VIZ. I had a simlar problem and what was happening was in CAD I had some misc. lines that were in the wall and window frames that I hadn't picked up and applied a material to in VIZ. I would check your VIZ list to make sure you have materials applied to all the lines in your scene. I always forget when I am linking too to uncheck the don't bring in turned off layers so you might want to check that. short answer was what solved my problem was going back through the cad drawing and finding that one cursed line on some random layer and deleting it problem solved. I know its simple but thats what solved my problem like yours.. hope it helps
Jason Matthews
Thanks for the feedback Jon. I will check it out. I changed the material to a different type of glass and it fixed the problem, but I will definitly check the cad file. Jason
