dnlhatton12
Right. Just turned my bios settings up. LOL I've been running my machine at 1.8ghz for months now. So I thought I needed a new graphics card! Now I bought a Radeon and turned my chip and bios settings up. Its like having a new machine!!! New FPS is now: Lowest FPS: 43 Highest FPS:
quizzy
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!! But you can clearly see that the amount of Ghz is not much of an affect on the performance. your lowest fps is propably from your graphic card, and the extra high FPS is from your CPU... well more results are coming I hope... Greg Hess
Quizzy, Is there a script or something? I just bounced between all 30 or so of the scenes and tried to see where the max/min was for the whole setup. If you just sit on the primary red model moving, I get 75/75. Sarah S
No matter what settings I tried, all I ever got was a long wait and a "QuestViewer.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" error message. As a result, I never got to see the end result of your efforts and the benchmark numbers that would have been generated. Any ideas? My computer: processor: Athlon 1800+ memory: 1 Gig RAM graphic: MSI Geforce4 ti4200 w 128MB OS: Windows XP Professional lowest FPS: ? highest FPS: ? directx: 9.0a
quizzy
Greg, no script, you'll just have to do it with the little numbers in the top left corner... sorry... Sarah, Maybe updating your windows helps? I really can't tell what is causing the error, because my client runs on a "similar" machine: Windows XP Pro P4 2,4Ghz 1GB RAM GF4 ti4800 /128MB Maybe you should upgrade your drivers for your graphic card... quizzy
i can imagine, you don't have a really cheap graphic card... well once all the results are in, i'll make a list out of it. still waiting for maybe 20 people or so... And maybe dor a future version i'll make some kind of script that generates the fps automaticaly.... well guys and girls keep those results coming... Did I thank you all already?? well..... thanks PS: rivoli... what OS did you use??
