The ultimate realtime benchmark test.

Recommended Posts

Right. Just turned my bios settings up. LOL I've been running my machine at 1.8ghz for months now. So I thought I needed a new graphics card! Now I bought a Radeon and turned my chip and bios settings up. Its like having a new machine!!!

New FPS is now:

Lowest FPS: 43

Highest FPS: 53

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!! But you can clearly see that the amount of Ghz is not much of an affect on the performance. your lowest fps is propably from your graphic card, and the extra high FPS is from your CPU... well more results are coming I hope...

No matter what settings I tried, all I ever got was a long wait and a "QuestViewer.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" error message. As a result, I never got to see the end result of your efforts and the benchmark numbers that would have been generated.

Any ideas?

My computer:

processor: Athlon 1800+

memory: 1 Gig RAM

graphic: MSI Geforce4 ti4200 w 128MB

OS: Windows XP Professional

lowest FPS: ?

highest FPS: ?

directx: 9.0a

Greg,

no script, you'll just have to do it with the little numbers in the top left corner... sorry...

Sarah,

Maybe updating your windows helps? I really can't tell what is causing the error, because my client runs on a "similar" machine:

Windows XP Pro

P4 2,4Ghz

1GB RAM

GF4 ti4800 /128MB

Maybe you should upgrade your drivers for your graphic card...

i just finished testing my sistem, here's the result:

dual xeon 2400

1 GB ram

quadro4 750 xgl 128 MB

HT: on (i will try it disabled later)

min FPS: 17

max FPS: 30

i've been hoping it would have done something better, i just want to test it without HT.

i can imagine, you don't have a really cheap graphic card... well once all the results are in, i'll make a list out of it. still waiting for maybe 20 people or so... And maybe dor a future version i'll make some kind of script that generates the fps automaticaly....

well guys and girls keep those results coming...

Did I thank you all already?? well..... thanks

PS: rivoli... what OS did you use??

Ran animation on the following machine with no problems

Processor: Dual Athlon 2600+

Memory: 1.5 Gig RAM

Graphics Card: Quadro 750 XGL (runnung nvidia 43.51 drivers)

OS: Windows XP Professional

DirectX : 9.0a

FPS were as following

Start was showing as 85fps

Lopen averaged 16fps

Fiets averaged 16fps

Trein averaged 12fps

Auto averaged 14fps

Boot averaged 13fps

This is just ann estimation based on the highest fps and the lowest fps on each animation.

Hope this helps
