Aspiring Visualizer!
I am basically wondering what the easiest & most accurate way of creating a tile pattern in photoshop is? I know how to make a box a certain size but how do I copy it over a certain distance for the grout? Or is there an easier way of doing this?! Any advice would be very much appreciated! Thanks. Chad Warner
Easiest thing to do is to make your tile, either 1 tile or 2 tiles or 4 tiles, (depending on how much repeating you want) with grout lines. Select the tiles and the grout, and hit Ctrl+C (copy). Go to the Edit menu, and then "Define Pattern" The selection that you just copied will show up as a thumbnail, and you give it a name. Once this is done, you deselect the tiles, go to the Edit menu again, and choose "fill"... and then choose "pattern" and choose the pattern you just made, and it will fill the image with the tiles you made. Bugga_Guy
Cheryl I'll save you the hassle. Go to Acme Brick and download their manonry designer.. Way faster and and better than doing it in photoshop - and its free. http://www.brick.com/home-abc.htm
