Jeff Mottle
What is everyone else running for MB and CPU temps both idle and under load? I have Dual 1900+ with Dynatron DC 1206BM-L/625 coolers. My temps are: Idle: MB: 30C CPU1: 41C CPU2: 42C Under Load or after 3+ hours of being idle, MB: 36C CPU1: 49C CPU2 51C Greg, it this normal or should it be cooler? So far no stability problems whatsoever. Just near deafness. At earlevel my box measures 54-56db (70db at the case) Loud huh.
Greg Hess
My mboard is around 28C (Room is temp controlled), CPU's hover in the 44C's under idle, 49-50C under load. Your system temps are fine. Did you read all my posts about quieting systems down? I believe my entire system (8 fans) is producing around 30-35 db.
Paul Griger
Sorry it has taken a while to post this. Been really busy w/new computer, network, employee, deadlines, etc.. Here’s the setup: Case Antec ATX Tower with 420 watt power supply Mother board Asus A7M266-D CPU Qty 2 AMD Athlon MP 2000+ Memory Qty 2 DDR 512mb for a total of 1 gig Hard Drive Western Digital [1] master 40 gig ATA100 7200 RPM & [1] slave 40 gig ATA100 7200 RPM DVD Drive Sony CDRW 40 X 12 X 48 X LiteOn with burn proof technology Floppy Disk Drive Mitsumi 3.5” Iomega 250 MB internal Zip Video Card GeForce 4 Ti 4600 128 MB DDR Sound Card Soundblaster 5.1 Live value Speakers Altec AVS300 Network Card Netgear 10/100 USB Ports 4 MS Windows 2000 Pro Samsung 170T 17” LCD monitor Here are the temps and RPM’s after running 4 hours idle MB temp 41º C/105.5º F CPU0 temp 53.5º C/128º F CPU1 temp 51º C/1235.5º F CPU0 fan speed 5,847 RPM CPU1 fan speed 5,113 RPM It is noticeably louder than my single AMD Duron. I am in an office w/wood floors, 2 story high ceilings and open walls w/music playing in the background, so the daily conditions in the office are not the most quiet. But if I had it inside a residence where no other noise was occurring, I’d think that I would not be able to hear the fans if I took a few steps outside of the room
Erik Lund
Hey guys, Has anyone here heard of a liquid cooled system? Only 1 fan and does a better job than 20 fans!!! Here is the website: www.sharkacorp.com This liquid cooling system is very quiet and more efficient than fans or heatsinks. It easily installs in to most mid to full sized cases. There are also adapters avalible for VGA/GPU procs and HDDs. The base system is priced at $199-239 U.S. This is an ideal cooling solution for those of you who like to overclock your procs. There is also a link on the site to a downloadable video tutorial on how simple the cooling system is to install. They also have a wide selection of other (cheaper) CPU/GPU cooling sytems on their website. Hope this helps!
