sky
my acad icons won't load. The menu bars appear and work fine except that there are no specific icons, instead each one is a "?" inside a thought bubble so i can't tell them apart unless i hover over them and get the descriptive text to pop up. my guess is i'm missing or have a corrupted icon file. I've been loading different combinations with "menuload" command but still haven't got it. Does anyone have a good acad menu file and does anyone know the difference between these file extensions? i have all these files, what are they good for? acad.mnu, acad.mns, acad.mnc, acad.mnr, acad.mnl, acad.mln
Audrie
menu.mnc is the 'compiled' file. This is the one you generally select to load when you use menuload and contains all your popdowns, icon placement, toolbar use, and any menu programming you have added. menu.mns is the source file. It is the file you alter when you want to add things or rearrange things in your menu. After you have made changes to it and saved it (under a different name is good! (Mine is audrie.mns) When you load it a new mnc is created incorporating the changes. Audrie "everything is easy - you just have to know how to do it..." Audrie
Oh, and mnr is a menu resource file , menu.mnu is a menu template. Can't locate mnl just now to tell you what it is. I haven't played around with these and would suggest you probably don't.
sky
thanks for the clear up. So which file do you think holds the icon graphics that you see on the menu bars? it's the icon graphics (pictures) that my autocad doesn't load, for example I have a 3dorbit button but instead of a green globe with a ring around it it's a "?", same for all the other buttons
