Maxwell questions

Hello,

 

I'm intrigued by what I've seen coming from this renderer plug-in, and am thinking of purchasing it before the intro offer expires.

 

What I haven't found are any direct quotes from the developers. Has anyone that owns it received answers to questions they've submitted (i.e., speed deficiencies, commitments to adding addition compatibility, etc.)?

 

In your mind, are they proactive in making the software better, or developing it in a vacuum?

I've been using Maxwell for a little over a month now and I've had several of my posts answered directly by members of the Maxwell development team. They seem to be genuinely interested in what the Alpha testers have to say, and I've seen more than one occasion where people have posted suggestions for additions to the program or improvements and in the next release they are implemented. There are a few things that hey are tight lipped on like what kind of speed increase we can expect in the final version. They have yet to come out with a road map for the software despite being asked several time a week. Over all though they have been extremely interactive and helpful, and I expect within the next few months were going to see a new render engine emerge that is going to revolutionize the way rendering is done.

Thanks for the input. The forums do seem to have a fairly sizable following, and the quality of the images are superb.

 

I think I'll take the plunge.
