Bugga_Guy Posted April 27, 2005 Share Posted April 27, 2005 Yup you can. Collaspe everything to an editable mesh and attach all objects then apply the "slice" modifier form the modifer stack menu. This is the way I do it, if someone knows an easier way I would love to hear too, but unfortunately the only thing that seems to work is that you have turn all your objects into one object (and no, grouping won't cut it) in order for the slice modifer to work. There are 3rd party plugins as well like cebas scalpel, but "slice" is good enough if you don't mind collasping your model. Once slice modifer is activated move the slice plane to the desired location and click "remove top/bottom". You will notice your model will be sliced. Then all you have to do is set up lighting and get the desired camera angle - if you want a true section, use an camera with the orthographic mode activated that way you won't get distortions from a perspective camera.
