Dear guys (or I've to call architectures/interiorers :D ),

My name is Irwan, and I just standard 2D graphic designer with Adobe PS and Coreldraw as my basic work tools. Surely, I'm not architect or interior designer. Currently, I'd like to learn some 3D tools which related to architect or interior jobs, due to high demand in my country right now. I'm planning to extend my skills to these.

Thus, I need some of you might help me to learn the 3D software. I have several questions, please if you have time and willing to answer just reply me. Thanks for your help before.

1. Which is the best between Cinema 4D and 3Ds Max to do architecture

or interior design jobs?

2. Anyone can suggest me what and how I have to start in order to learn

the software (links, pictures, etc)? Currenlty I'd like to specialize my 3D skill for architecture or interior design only

I thinks those are my important question right now. Waiting for your prompt reply. Best wishes and good luck for this forum.

Regards,

Irwan

Applications are mere tools, there are no comparisons between 3d programs.Others may have features that some programs don't, viceversa. it just depends on the person who'll be using it. The first step in learning is going through the tutorials packaged with the programs.3dsmax for example, comes in with great tutorials for newbies, as well as for the pros. Maya has its own package also once you install the software.

So it's all upto youand i Hope to see some of your works here someday. Good luck

I agree there are lots of good artists there look at my post regarding Yiran, but Crystal G they did about 12 projects for us in 2004 and I had to spend hours fixing their models. the first one was fabuloso but the later ones contained many archtectural details errors like they fish you with their best and when you' re a client they give you to their worst artist who doesn't know brick from stick.....

I have personal experience with them....

sad one too. they are one of the factors I quit my job because my previous employer wanted me to be fixing their models all the time instead of doing my thing and doing the models myself. he thought he was saving money and time by outsourcing, but I was getting the frustration and agony of dealing with dozens of small errors and inconformity with cad drawings we sent. The funny thing when i quit he gave me 30 houses they modeled in 3ds max to fix. I ended up living on my credit card debt instead of fixing for money them and mailed him the plans back. asked him to ask them to fix it and leave mout out of working with them.....Morale, when you quit your job you learn to say NO!
