Good old fashioned nose to the pavement and lots of cold calls. Think of any events, parties, or places that your clients will be and get yourself there. The more people you know, the more people you can network with and hopefully land you some work. Pay close attention to the local market and the Real-Estate industry as well. You never know the next big competition or contract that will be bid upon and might require imagery.

usually no one will give a huge project with a lot of investment to a single player. They want a huge firm with capabilities, software, hardware, staff. someone to take them on trips and offer them a fancy lunch...I have seen companies pay 45 grands on a rendering I would have done for 3 or 4 grands just because THe company that did it has a good reputation.

But you can get small projects that pay the bills by calling your local firms and asking them if they are interested in getting renderings and if they would meet with you at their location to discuss and show them your portfolio.

That is my friend the best way to get them to trust you and know you...

e-mails get deleted, mail gets in the trash, personal relationship is the key word.
