Vray 3.4 rendering with RAM

VRay uses Ram to store your scene elements, Textures, Final image and VRay frame buffer. Depending on how much Ram you have VRay will decide if that is enough or not if it is not then it will use the hard drive as quick memory storage. But actually, it is not quick enough. That way when you run out of Ram y our render take even longer to produce.

The CPU is used to calculate your scene unless of course, you are using the GPU version of VRay, then it will be mostly GPU and the CPU.

What are the specs of your Laptop and desktop?
