  1. Hi guys!!! My old monitor Dell u2312 gave up on me. I am in search of new monitor. The work is related to 3D-Modelling and Rendering. Mainly used softwares are: 1) Zbrush 2) Autodesk Maya 3) Adobe Photoshop. My main criteria are longevity and color quality. I am thinking of going with Dell u2415, the next version of my old monitor. 1) How will it be? 2) Any better options? Thanks in advance.
  2. For a novice, who wants easy oc, asus 5way optimisation helps. But the over voltage assignment is a problem that mostly occurs. The reasons for that are well given by numerobis. So for best results, understanding the process & step by step tweaking is the proven method.
  3. A general explanation but good:http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2450639/overclocking-cpus-memory-controller-effect-raised-multiplier-cpu-overclock.html Some more: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/152/1 http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/26 http://www.pcauthority.com.au/Feature/108199,the-beginners-guide-to-memory-overclocking.aspx/1 Hope this helps;)
  4. Thanks man for ur help!!! I am going with option b; will be buying 2 noctuas for bottom. Will also see any difference in temps by replacing the front 200mm and the radiator's fan with these. Check will it be worth buying any more. For now thanks all!!!
  5. Hi everybody! After reading lots of post & seeing videos, I have came up with the following cooling solutions: a)Front 200mm fan as intake, rear fan as intake, at top the radiator as exhaust. b)Front 200mm fan as intake, rear fan as intake, at top the radiator as exhaust and 2 140 mm fans at bottom as intake. c)At front the radiator as intake, bottom 2 140mm fans as intake, 1 rear 140 fan as intake & at top 2 200mm fans as exhaust. I will be removing all hdd cages except 1 & will connect the ssd at back for an unobstructed air flow. Also, I will be using the nzxt p630 case, one with the side window & not the side fan. This may be known to many of you who are helping me, from my other thread, but mentioned here to keep the continuity of this thread. Now, my questions are:- 1)I understood that using a radiator as intake will cause hot air to be blown inside, but since there are 2 more intake places won't it be sufficient? Actually, I want to have as max oc as possible without affecting other components, so beating this point again. 2)Which of a,b,c is best? 3)If bottom fans worth, then to buy which one? 4)Also, should I replace the stock fans of h110? If yes, then please recommend some. Please help me. Thanks in advance.
  6. Thanks for ur replies. I decided to keep the case. Sorry for posting late, I have been busy lately. Thank U Everyone for ur help.
  7. As I said earlier, I wanna overclock. So, without this side fan won't I be overlooking cooling of gpu, vrms on mobo? I don't wanna buy separate gpu &/or vrm cooler. Also I don't wanna risk any components life &/or performance. I might be appearing stupid, but I am a newbie in this area, so please help me. Thanks in advance.
  8. My current specs are: 1)Processor:- Intel Core i7 5960X Haswell-E 2)Motherboard:- ASUS X99-PRO 3)RAM:- Gskill Ripjaws 4 F4-2400C15Q-32GRR DDR4 4)Storage:- a)SSD: Samsung 850 Pro-Series 2.5" 256GB (MZ-7KE256BW) b)HDD: WD Black 1TB(WD1003FZEX) 5)CPU Cooler:- CORSAIR Hydro Series H110 6)PSU:- Cooler Master V-Series 1000W 7)Cabinet:- Nzxt Phantom 630 8)OS:- Windows 8.1 pro 64 bit Thoughts behind p630 were: NZXT P630 selected solely because of its side fan. As I am planning for AIO cooler, I don't want to overlook cooling of gpu and vrm. I live in Mumbai, India and here, in summer, temps rise around 35C. Also, the rig would be used for about 15 to 18 hours daily. So I am leaning towards cases with side fans. Also I am going to overclock. In future I may go for sli too. Now, my problems:- 1)I bought the nzxt phantom 630 case, the one with side fan but the seller sold me a p630 with the side window panel. So, should I replace the case or not? Will the case without a side fan affect my temps much? 2)If I should replace it then, the cases with which I am thinking of swapping the current one are: corsair carbide 500r or cm storm trooper with side fan or cm 690 III. So, please help asap since the return policy gives me only 5 days. Thanks in advance.
  9. Will look into reviews for various configs as suggested and come back later. Thanks guys for the help.
  10. I understood that it would be incorrect to use top fans as intake, but was just asking for information. With "back" fan were u referring to the pivot fan? Right now I am planning as follows: 1 fan at front as intake, 1 side fan as intake, 1 rear fan as outlet and at top the radiator.
  11. Thanks for ur reply. Do this config creates uneven air flow? My specs:- 1)Processor:- Intel Core i7 5960X Haswell-E 2)Motherboard:- ASUS X99-PRO 3)RAM:- Gskill Ripjaws 4 F4-2400C15Q-32GRR DDR4 4)Storage:- a)SSD: Samsung 850 Pro-Series 2.5" 256GB b)HDD: WD Black 1TB 5)CPU Cooler:- CORSAIR H110 6)Cabinet:- Nzxt Phantom 630 7)PSU:- Cooler Master V-Series 1000W 8)OS:- Windows 8.1 pro 64 bit. Yeah I will be ocing, but since parts are not installed, so don't know the ht. Should I go with push or pull or push-pull config with the radiator after installing it at the top? Currently as mentioned above I will be using only 2 cages(1 for ssd & other for hdd). So what would u suggest using the pivot fan or not?
  12. For my new built, I bought nzxt phantom 630 and corsair h110 aio. So, I am planning as below: 2 200mm 800rpm fans at top, 1 200mm 800rpm fan at side, 1 140mm 1000rpm fan at rear and the radiator of h110 in the front with 2 140mm fans installed as intake fans. So air flow will be: Air going in from front, top, side and going out from rear creating a positive air flow. 1)So what u guys think of this configuration? 2)Also, regarding the radiator should I opt for push or pull or push-pull config.? 3)I didn't exactly understood the use of HDD pivot fan. Can anybody please explain me? & will I need it? Thanks in advance.
