have you tried to reinstall it. uninstall, delete supporting folder ( if any), then install it.

try 3ds max objectpaint

try...reset your settings by going back to scanline, render a few seconds, cancel then bring vray back again

go to your 3ds max directory C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2009\scripts\Startup\ .....delete that vrayutils.ms . If it is part of your plugins, then reinstall that plugins, just be sure to use to appropriate version

you can't adjust this if you are using SunLight System under General Tab of TexSky - the settings will adapt the Sunlight Parameters. If you change the Sun System to None on General Tab of TexSky, then you can now adjust the parameters that you have stated. As for the other queries, im not sure about it, because on my settings, it all adjustable. maybe upgrading will do as quoted by Sir valerostudio. Good Luck

sometimes, merging your file into a new scene solve the problems. as for minimizing the scene file, i would off those models not viewable in my camera.

as long as we dont have this 3dmax connection extension, we cant automatically convert those materials as Mental Ray Arch+Design material on importing procedure. anyway try to look at this http://mentalraytips.blogspot.com/2007/02/max-9-converting-other-materials-to.html hope it works on higher version, havent try it yet. good luck
