  1. Have a look at this invoice software, pretty basic, but might do the trick for 99 USD http://ezyinvoice.com/
  2. I too have had a few problems mentioned here, but not as many as you have mentioned Erick. I seemed to have some random program freezes after updating a display driver, and had to do a re install of the driver making sure I had cleaned all the old driver files from my system. Here is a way to revert back to the old material editor if that is what you mean by "changes" Revert back to old material editior C:\Users\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMaxDesign\2012 - 64bit\enu\plugcfg edit sme.ini old material browers=1 I have been trying to work thru the flaws with 2012 only because the viewport performance for me has been better on my system with large scenes
  3. Does 3ds max 2012 have SP1 released? I thought there was just a hot fix 1.
  4. Razer Imperator Ergonomic Laser Gaming Mouse http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Imperato.../dp/B002YNS8XC I said I would give a quick review of this mouse so here is what I have to say. It is is very ergonomic and has already helped with some discomfort I had been feeling in my hand lately. Very good quality, and seem very precise, and you can tweak the DPI and polling rate, with a driver and software that comes with the mouse. Might be more bells and whistles then I need, but the ergonomics are very good.
  5. I just order a Razer Imperator Ergonomic Laser Gaming Mouse http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Imperator-Ergonomic-Laser-Gaming/dp/B002YNS8XC I have been experiencing discomfort in my clicking finger, and need to find something that supported my hand a little better. Hopefully this helps, I will give a review when I get it.
  6. Hey Ryan, I have seen this building before in what I thought was a impressive animation. Did you do that as well? Here is the movie
  7. Have you tried unchecking "generate GI" for the glass object in the Vray properties? Not sure if that would be causing the promblem or not...
  8. I DO aggree with this! Well said Glorybound, and fellow Minnesotan!
  9. I am sorry I have to disagree. While you may not become a millionare, you can make a decent living while doing what you enjoy.
  10. Thanks Abhay. All the buildings were are low poly models that were made of from photos of existing buildings that was done in Sketchup The building at the end of the movie was from Revit. Everything except the vegetation was was exported from 3ds max via a dae file into Lumion. The ground plain is just a arieal photo. The scene was then populated with Lumion trees. No baking.
  11. I have been starting to use Lumion on some exterior animations. There are still some things that I feel need improvement, but really trying to work the software into my workflow due to the fast rendering capablities. I rendered this quick test scene overnight on one pc using a gtx 285 video card at 1280 x720.
  12. Tom, Awesome reel! Pretty cool that you get to work on several types of projects other than just architecture.
  13. The first thing I thougt of was this free script from Motiva, but then I realized it did not support mental ray to standard conversion. Not sure if you have vray, but you could try to convert the mental ray to vray, then try to convert the vray to standard. http://www.motivacg.com/scripts/script01_en.html
  14. Yep, there is still spots of snow on the ground around here!! Guys thanks for the comments for improvement. This "mood"rendering did accompany the typical day shot as well that I did not post, so I typically try to do something a little different on a second image when possible. IF there is only budgeted for one rendering, I agree, mood shots are not always the answer. BUT, If all I get to do is blue sky day shots, this type of work can get old really fast, so I try to keep it interesting and challenging. Thanks. Eric
