  1. Just posted in the Buy/Sell forum if anyone here is interested: http://forums.cgarchitect.com/74857-cinema-4d-r14-studio-vray.html#post382988 Thanks!
  2. Also prevents anyone from playing with your model and taking credit for it themselves!
  3. Can I submit two images? I have one i finished up a couple weeks ago, but the one I really want to submit wont be done till the week of!
  4. I used Rebus not too long ago for a VRay render and it was great just very very expensive. Luckily the client paid for the rendering or I would have cried haha. Was over $450 in the end for a short fly-through!
  5. Did you try and put the mask in the opacity slot of the VRay Material and then just leave the diffuse as the image with white background?
  6. Looks good so far. The lighting is a bit dark in some areas so you may want to put the free lights in the ceiling a bit lower so they light up the room more. To solve the whole lights looking on thing. I haven't used mental ray in a while but I remember I used to make spheres visible in the light sockets with low settings just to mimic them being on and then left the free lights for the actual lighting of the room. Hope that helps!
  7. I played with Modo before but never got too much into it. 501 makes me really want to start using it and with what you have to say about it, I plan on trying it out soon! Thanks!
  8. Definitely agree. Would you mind posting your displacement settings? I can never get Displacement grass to look that good!
  9. They have some great simple tutorials here - http://vray.us/vray_tutorials/vray_tutorial_irradiance_map2.shtml
  10. I bought Vue 9 xStream and love it. It gives you the ability to do everything from grass to planets!
  11. Awesome. Really love it! The grass is beautiful! That just a displacement or did you use something like autograss or fur?
  12. Hello to you! Welcome to the forum!
  13. I am very upset I wasn't able to make it! I RSVP'd but had an emergency that morning that made it not possible for me to join. Any chance you'll be having another event coming up soon?
  14. Your modeling skills are definitely noticeable here; the curtains looks great, the bed and chair look great, but the scene is very empty. Id start by adding covers on the bed using the cloth modifier and you could always tighten up the shot a little so your not seeing so much of the floor in front of the bed. The more floor you show the more you should have in the scene. Also watch the door frame. Im not sure if the geometry is messed up on the right side or if it rendered wrong.
  15. Agree. The details everywhere are beautiful but it's too much of the same color and style. Everything seems to blend together and my eye is drawn to the window in the middle rather than any piece of furniture. I'd try changing the outer pillows on the couch's color to something like white as well as add something on the vanity stand like a fancy coffee cup in possible a white with gold trim so they stand out and draw your eye around the room
