  1. Hi, this is my first post in cgarchitect. I have a question to ask. I just bought a new machine recently but haven't install any windows. After a bit of research i found that Vista ultimate has 32bit or 64bit.. Same as 3d Max 9 32/64bit. This is the current spec of my machine: Quad Core2duo Q6600 2Gb ram (+another 2 Gb Ram later) GT 8800 512mb 350gb hd. Should I install 32bit or 64bit for windows + max? I am not sure what will be the difference between these two? My concern about 64bit is that some people are saying that certain Driver ,Software/games might not able be able to support. I know in order to utilize Ram above 4gb.. I will need to use Vista 64 bit. But I will only be having 4GB of ram so far. What do you guys would suggest me? :confused:Thanks a lot Another question is that. My old Pc is using max9 32bit on XP 32bit. If Im to link this Old and New pc together. Can my file modeled in new pc's max9 64bit opened and rendered in old pc's max9 32bit? Im thinking to work with 2 machines in the future so i need to make sure they both works fine together. Old pc might not be able to upgrade anymore due to hardware reason.
