  1. Hello everyone, It's been a little while since VideoTrace was first mentioned on this forum so I'd like to bring everyone up to date. When the technology was first unveiled at SIGGRAPH in 2007 it was part of a research project being conducted at the Australian Centre for Visual Technologies (ACVT), a multi-disciplinary research and education initiative (hosted at the University of Adelaide) focussing on the creation and analysis of visual digital media. Since then, the intellectual property has been transferred out of the university and into a private commercial entity, Punchcard. Here at Punchcard, we commenced a beta testing program for VideoTrace in late 2009 with a small (and closed) group of users. We've been progressively expanding that group over the past several months with each new beta release. While it's been possible for a few months now for anyone to register and try out the software, we haven't made a whole lot of noise about it as there were a few key features and improvements that we wanted to tackle before pushing it out to the CGarchitect.com community. However, we'd now like to invite you to join our beta testing program and try VideoTrace first hand. If you're interested, simply visit our website and enter your contact details (use the link below). We'll then send out an email in the next few days with details about how to get started on the beta program. Click here to register for the VideoTrace beta program. We're working towards a commercial release of VideoTrace late this year. Thanks to everyone for your interest in VideoTrace, and I look forward to hearing your feedback on the software once you've had a chance to give it a try. All the best, Jeremy Pollard CEO Punchcard www.punchcard.com.au
