olbo
Hehe, no problem Carlo. I spoke to Torolf and he told me, that the content of a thread has been edited. To be on spot, it was his link to paypal that was deleted. So he removed the links to the models and after this the whole thead got deleted. I've reread the rules of this board ... and I'm very curious, if this has anything to do with the advertising point ... I would like to know, if it is forbidden to say ... "Hey, I have contributed a lot of stuff and if you like it I would love to see you supporting me." Because all I know is, that this was the only thingy he wanted. Well, ... if I've overseen some stuff or am just not on the right path - gimme a wink. @Jeff Can you help at this ? Thanx! ;o) edit: *grmpf* freakin' grammar take care Oleg

Jeff Mottle
@Jeff Can you help at this ? Thanx! ;o) I'm not altogether sure what this is all about, but if there was a link to purchase something, it was likely deleted as we don't allow people to post product prices with the intent of selling a product, advertising that lists prices, obnoxious advertising, links to stores/sites with the only purpose of selling a product etc. @jotero, if your thread or post was deleted this was not intended as personal attack it's becuase those are our rules. _PopArt
I think jotero put up an informayion about paypaling him on a donations basis, no selling or advertising. He has given out so many lovely models for free and given so much information.

Ernest Burden III
Are you doing these strictly as an artistic expression? It doesn't seem like there would be much of a commercial market, despite the beauty of your many works of this type.
Bongo51
oh... I don't know... a public sculpture 30 feet high based on one of these models would be stunning! Out of aluminum or painted steel...mmmmm

Out of aluminum or painted steel...mmmmm That would be just fantastic! How big do those rapid prototype 3D printers go? 30 feet? No? Too bad, some gifted scuptor would have to scale up a RP model. AJLynn
You wouldn't build a large one of those as a single piece from an RPT machine, but I could see it being done in parts that can be worked out digitally and fabricated. For example, these guys: http://s-e-r-v-o.com/ give their Maya files to the crew at Warner Brothers studios, who can do things like CNC mill forms for vacuum forming parts several feet long. That's how they did the ceiling pieces for the Nike "Geneology of Speed" installation, you can see the joints in the photos.
