Matt McDonald
Hi everybody I am trying to model this spire on top of a building near my house. I've got the base looking pretty good but I am having real problems with the spiral portion on the upper half. Originally I made it with a bump map which looked ok but I really want to be able to see the profile of the object. I have tried using helix(s) that are either renderable or have a bevel profile applied to them with little luck. I've tried creating a profile at multiple points around and lofting or bevel profiling it also with little luck. If any of you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them. Thanks everybody.
