atom_up
I can see you put a lot of work into this and it's looking good. A good start but I have a couple of suggestions. To start, it is looking very confusing. I think that is do to your choice of materials and how you are handling your materials. The floor seems to either be a bumpy, textured surface with a reflection which would be unlikely or a flat reflective surface, reflecting the ceiling. I'm sure you're going for the latter. And I'm not sure where your light source is coming from. I notice light fixtures but I guess they aren't used to light this scene as I don't see them reflected on the floor or anything. The modeling looks great so far and I can't wait to see it finished. Well I hope I helped some what. Good luck!
Guest nazcaLine
scanline, right? it looks good to start. the pipes are very...polished. try to use a more matte, rough, old material. and concerning to lighting, if you are not going to use a GI engine like vray or mental ray, (which would be ideal) then you have to look at these tutorials, they're the best i've seen for standard lighting: http://www.cgarchitect.com/resources/tutorials/smoke3d/default.asp Eduardo
