Mister3d
How to make anisotropy like a compact disc? I need that this effect sticks to the center, but it flies. I tried to use gradient ramp with radial setting, but it's not working. The left is how I want this, the right shows that it does not follow the center. It's more apparent when changing camera position. EDIT: resolved. Just use uwv map modifier and make spherical unwrap for the object, and use explicit map channel in ward options. Justin Hunt
http://mentalraytips.blogspot.com/ Check out the Rainbow effect, sure this is for Mentalray but I am sure you could do it with Vray as well JHV
Ricardo Eloy
Just for the record, there was a post about this in the ChaosGroup Forum like a trillion years ago. Take a search there and you'll probably find it. If I'm not wrong, the person achieved real anisotropy using a very, very small displacement map. Looked cool...
