Importing a JPeg

Is it possible to import a jpeg into sketchup as a reference image. i am trying to model a series of buildings, i have a plan in jpeg format of the placement of these buildings in the space but need to import it so that i can place my sketchup models on top of it thus making them stand in the correct relative positions to each other

Yep - file>import>select jpg. Then you can line it up with a plane that you've created to the correct building size (to get the right scale). Or you can create a plane to the correct building size and add it as a texture.
