Administrators Jeff Mottle Posted December 30, 2002 Administrators Share Posted December 30, 2002 Just wanted to let everyone know that the forum were upgraded last night and there have been a few new features added in addition to many bug fixes that were found in the software. UBB™ 6.4 beta is a major release that adds many new features, including: - Content Islands You will notice that some forum info is now displayed on the home page. - A searchable Community Directory One you are logged in you can use the 'directory' link to search registered users. -Today's Active Topics is now a rolling 24 hour period To solve the problem with different time zone ans the active topics page, the messages are rolled off in a rolling 24 hour period rather than at midnight MDT (GMT-7) - Time based "edit by" message options. If you edit your own message withing 5 min. of postign you will not get the "edited" message at the bottom of your post. - Toggle for last post column (and contents) in forum summary - Toggle for last post column (and contents) in topic list - Forum summmary last post links to the actual post "Re: " now before replies to topics in forum summary You will also notice a pretty annoying bug has also been fixed in the active topics page whereby the first few lines of the topic are now psted witrh line breaks and URLs no longer cause a break in the table formatting. nisus Posted December 30, 2002 Share Posted December 30, 2002 Good thing, although I don't like the 24hour thing at all... I really prefer to see what topics are new since my last visit... When one connects several times a day, one gets mistaken to see 'new posts' that have been checked allready: very annoying imho. Anyway...
