adamantine
Hello all, This question may have been asked before but I tried searching and couldn't find an answer, maybe I have the incorrect terms for this problem. So I'm working in 3ds max and imported a model from Revit through DWG. Sometimes I would like to move or copy some objects, for example, a window. When I select and move one window, all the other windows in the scene are moving as well. I kind of figured out that they are somehow linked, however, when I remove the link (using "unlink selection"), all the other window object jumped location to somewhere else except the one I selected. That leaves me with only moving the individual object by turning on "Affect Object Only". That works for moving, but not with rotating/scaling. Also there seems to be some hidden objects that when deleted, also delete an entire type of objects. For example if I select an area with marquee, it might capture a hidden object, and when I delete it, for example all curtain walls in the scene are gone. Any idea on how to remove this linkage information so I can work freely with objects imported from revit? Thanks for reading and I appreciate any help.
