sketchup - organic modelling

Recommended Posts

Select lines and 'create terrain from contours' (sandbox tools). You may have to add in some more lines (contours) to get the right effect, and you may have to set smoothing to none and delete excess faces/edges before resmoothing.

The Ruby Library depot is full of wonderfull things. YOu should be able to find something there. just now I tried the skin plugin, but I can't seem to get it to work

Here is a link from the Geometry page. http://www.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/Ruby/em_geo_page.htm

Here is the Soap Skin Bubble plug in that will really help you.

This script written by Chris Fullmer should do exactly what you need. You can find it here.http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=19076

Karl has beaten me to it, this is the script I instantly thought of when seeing your post. Just make sure each of your arcs has the same number of segments in them for it to work properly.
