Lanni
I need some help with supersampling a carpet texture. I'm get swirls or something, I'm currently using the Max 2.5 Star, which should I use to fix this; Adaptive Halton, Adaptive Uniform or Hammersley? And what settings for it should I use? Here's a pic to show what I mean.
Wolf
I am starting to like the filter Soften it takes away the Sharp edges that computer models always have, i use a setting of 3-4 sometimes.
STRAT
i was gonna suggest that too. if ss no works then try a render filter instead. also try SUMMED AREA filtering too instead of the standard, this is subtler and should help.

The problem occures on high resolution surface rendered with a supersampler. Question do use field rendering? Anyhow, there are tasks when you should use different renders like VRay, Brazil etc... robert
John Dollus
Are you sure you are using summed filtering on the texture map instead of the defaul pyramidal? John D
