Fran
I've published another tutorial on using the 3ds Max Cloth modifier. This time, I show how easy it is to make a comforter. I've included an archive of the tutorial scene that contains the bitmaps that I used for the textures. http://surrealstructures.com/blog/?p=229 I'm working on another tutorial to simulate a blanket or throw folded at the end of a bed - exciting! Fran
Thanks everyone. I'm very glad that what I'm doing is helpful. I've been working on the look of the blog and have it mostly the way I want it. But the WYSIWYG post editor and the blog page never quite match up - I never know where the sample images are going to wind up.

squibrigu
Live drag??? Why wasn't I informed!!!!! Knew I should have read those 'whats new' windows. Glad to hear you're using this: I plan to keep it much more aggressively up-to-date than has been the case in the past, but don't hesitate to let me know if you find errors or need clarifications. Fran
Plenty of live drag on the internet. LMAO. I was waiting for it. BTW, I learned about the Live Drag! function from Scott Onstott's vodpod tutorial on making curtains.
Ernest Burden III
Hello, friend! Cinema has a similar cloth simulator, I've always wanted to learn it for exactly this sort of application. Maybe I can learn something from your Max lesson.
Frosty
Hello, friend! Cinema has a similar cloth simulator, I've always wanted to learn it for exactly this sort of application. Yes, Ernest it works well. I've never used it for bedding but have used it many times with wind and belt constraints for flags, curtains and tensile structures. Fran
Hi Ernest - good to see you again. I don't know how max cloth and C4D cloth compare, so it's hard to say if it will be of any help. But maybe you'll be inspired.
