Workflow question

Can some one explain the typical workflow to creating design and development/ construction drawings and a 3D model for a rendering?

Do people usually model the structure and then draw it all on a seperate file? or use the same 3d model? if so how? everytime I try to use a 3d model to have an elevation then I cant really change line weight or anything. Is there a solution? or a workflow step Im missing? (unfortunally my proffesor doesn't know 3D so she cant help me) or do I have to make a model and set of 2D drawings on another file?

Thanks for your time and response,

Hi Cesar R,

I'll send u plans, sections, walls views, etc. My way is:

1) verifing dimension in nature (when I work on somenone's else plans)

2) some hand sketches (just for me to adjust the concept, but not always)

3) 2D plans, sections in Acad

4) some Illustrator drawings (for client)

5) 3D model in ACAD (from plans & sections, but sometimes I start from 3D at once)

6) fine models in viz

7) rendering

8) tuneup

9) technical drawing (for developer)

thats all. look at your mailbox at 18:00 your time. I'll prepare some drawings and send it for u.

rgds,

Wojciech Klepacki
