3ds_to_acad_solprof Elevations_problem

Hello, it`s my first writting..

I`d like to export 3ds scene to acad and after to do the section views and elevations, but i have problem becasuse in acad all the objects are POLYMASHES which are not working with SOLPROF(which needs 3Dsolids)...my final aim is to have 2ds (sections, elevations)

can anybody give mi a hint?

You can generate the section line in Max using the Section tool (Create Panel \ Splines \ Section). Create the shape and then export it to AutoCAD.

 

For the Elevations use the plot to DXB method in AutoCAD. The link below may help, Remember to plot a hidden line view.

It is not a perfect solution but it should get you closer.
