Jeff Mottle
Hey guys, I'm working on a contrct job at home but am having problems with the UCS. At work I use ACAD 2000i and it works fine, but 2002 seems to behave differently. What I want to do it align the UCS to a line or to two points. Normally I type UCS then click the endpoints of the line I want to align to and the UCS automtially rotates. In 2002 I do this and nothing happens. I've gone through all the help file and setting I could find, but so far no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I get the feeling that thre is a setting to turn this ability on. Thanks guys, Jeff [ December 05, 2002, 03:28 PM: Message edited by: Jeff Mottle ]
Kerry Thompson
Hi Jeff The command on your work system may have been redefined to work directly. Anyway, the command line in 2002 is , then select the object that you want to align it to. For two points, and then you will be prompted for the points. There are a whole range of options under - zaxis, face, view, x, y, z. I have added these sequences to a toolbar menu to directly access them. Hope this helps. Jeff Mottle
Awesome! Thnaks Kerry. Yeah in 2000 you don't need to press n to get to the menu I needed. I'll have to program something to mak some shortcuts for this. Thnaks again, you saved me hours of aggravation. Cheers, Jeff
