UCS Problems in ACAD 2002

Hey guys,

I'm working on a contrct job at home but am having problems with the UCS. At work I use ACAD 2000i and it works fine, but 2002 seems to behave differently.

What I want to do it align the UCS to a line or to two points. Normally I type UCS then click the endpoints of the line I want to align to and the UCS automtially rotates. In 2002 I do this and nothing happens. I've gone through all the help file and setting I could find, but so far no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I get the feeling that thre is a setting to turn this ability on.

Thanks guys,

Jeff

Hi Jeff

The command on your work system may have been redefined to work directly.

Anyway, the command line in 2002 is , then select the object that you want to align it to.

For two points, and then you will be prompted for the points.

There are a whole range of options under - zaxis, face, view, x, y, z.

I have added these sequences to a toolbar menu to directly access them.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Kerry
