leoviale
Hi, i'm getting a weird problem with my windows, i never had this problem before, or just didn't notice... check this 2 renders, one with no windows and the second with windows: This is the glass material: This windows doesn't render shadows on the back of it, also i think GI isn't rendered either. I tried adding more depth for refraction on the vrat settings, but as i guessed, nothing happened, also tried some more things, new material, vray properties, object properties, but couldn't find the problem. John Dollus
I haven't tested myself yet but think it's your IOR creating the issue. Try setting it to 1.01 and see what happens.
leoviale
Nope, same result, i thought it was a problem with refraction's depth, like somehow i had to rise it so it would calculate refracted GI and shadows, but apparently it doesn't change anything. Thablanch
Does your window have a thickness... if not, put a shell modifier.
leoviale
Yes, about 2 cm.

leoviale
No, 50% gray, (128 RGB). I never realized about it, but concerns me about future renders, in the past i never noticed that, and it's a serious problem for me.
leoviale
Problem solved guys. The material itself wasn't wrong, the problem was that i was using a vray plane for this tests, and i deactivated it's visibility on reflection and refraction on the vray properties. See the good side of this thread, now u will know whats wrong on your glass if it ever happends . Thx all for your replies.
