Guest stol2004
Hello I'm using Rhinoceros 4.0 and render with the Maxwell plugin. I tryed all the settings possible and impossible , I let the current picture for 3 days on render with 29 S.L and considerable resolution and still cant get rid of the noise . The picture posted is actually the best from all 3 I had on render ... All my maps are RGB 220.220.220 in the hope that i can avoid the noise ... Please help me with good advices beause on friday i have to present 7 good renderings and i dont think i can make it if they all gonna look like this one. P.S, I use 2 desktops intel i5 , 4 giga ram , nvidia quadro fx1800 .
Brodie Geers
Sorry, this will probably be too late for your friday deadline. My guess would be that it has something to do with your lights which look a little odd to me. Are they emitting though something like plastic or something with SSS? Is there some sort of scattering going on there that's making the lights have that sort of bloom to them? Also, this probably wouldn't cause noise at SL 29 (hardly anything should!) but it may speed up a rendering like that to completely turn off the environmental lighting since it won't be doing you any good in that particular scene. -Brodie
Guest stol2004
Ty for the advice .. Lights were simple emitters without emitting through something .Anyway , I managed to find a solution to my problem . I added an omni light really low and had no more noise . I think is the best solution for noise reduction discovered by me in Maxwell till now .
