rosh8111
Hay, few days ago i switched to 3d max 2011 and vray 2.0, every time i add vray rec. or any other lights to the scene i cannot see light shading on my max 2011 view port, it's totally dark, even i bump the intensity of the light it won't change anything. but it's renders fine, but i cannot adjust my scene with out seeing how actually light effect on the scene. i did had this issue in max2009 and vray 1.5. is there new settings in vary2.0 or in 3dmax 2011, to able to actual light shade on view port. tayrona
Have you tried Ctrl + L ? which settings do you have in Viewport configuration / Lighting and Shadows? I usually switch to Default lights and 2 lights.. It helps to view the scene always lighted on viewports.
rosh8111
Hay Tayrona, thank you for your comments, i have found the solution last night, it only effect vray rec. light. This is a strange thing when you add vray rec. light there is option in light modifier Panel, some thing called " enable in view port" default it's selected mean it's on, but when it's on it's not shading when you un-tick in , whola it's showing the light shade, mean when you said disable in view port it's working fine.
