Color edge plugin for lawns etc.

Hi,

Thought I would share this.

itoo Software has a great free product (plugin) called Color edge to blend and soften edges of lawns, paths etc. Originally saw it only compatible for max 2010 but now they have updated it for max 2012. I think this is much like the plugin in called Gradient edge.

 

If someone knows who makes Gradient edge could you let me know.

I tried Itoo's at one point and found it to work as advertised aside from being wicked unstable. I'll try the new one out, it would be nice to have such a thing that was solid.

I think it might be more effective to create my own maps.

[itoo] It's working but I won't get around to testing it enough for long term stability as it appears to be scanline only.

 

I'll keep it around. If needed, textures can be baked. I think it's one of the better approaches to a quick solid wire render.
