zhopudey
I have a max design 2012 file, of a mall interior which is giving me major problems. The file takes over half an hour to open/save, and is very slow to work with. I deleted everything in this file and saved it. The empty file is >250mb! I searched and found one solution which says delete the reactor cache. But since 2012 doesn't even have reactor, it is of no help to me. Now, even if i create a new box in this problem file, and save select it - the new file goes over 250mb. I can't even merge anything from this file into a new file. Any ideas? zhopudey
Any suggestions as to where I can start troubleshooting?
Corey Beaulieu
It's likely that you need to clear out your note tracker. It generates extra crap for no reason at all from time to time and the problem is usually seen in file size an save times. I wish I had a link to give, but I don't. I know there are scripts out there that can help I just don't can't find the one I used right now. Sorry I can't be of great help, but maybe his will lead you to your solution. And if I find it I'll re-post with a link.
Corey Beaulieu
Ah. Here is one right here on cgarchitect: http://forums.cgarchitect.com/61106-long-saving-time-3ds-max.html Davistalexander posted the script text to correct. It's a motion mixer and note tracker thing. Good luck!
