vizbiz
Hi Folks, I have Max2011 and in past versions I have been able to hit 'T' 'L' 'P' etc. to "switch" between viewports, but now the keystrokes change the current viewport instead of switching. My guess is this is a default. Any advice on how to get it "switching"? Thanks. Edited July 24, 2012 by vizbiz
Corey Beaulieu
There is a button on the main toolbar that is a simple square with an upward pointing arrow on it. If it is on then the viewport toggles shortcuts don't work.
vizbiz
The Overide doesn't seem to be the issue. Thanks for replying!
Josef Wienerroither
To get decent viewport switching in Max the best thing is using a third party script, as the internal switching mechanism is totally unsatisfying I've written one ( PowerSwitcher) which stores more than the standard 4 viewport positions when switching and has other bonus features. read the full explanation in this scriptspot post http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/powerswitcher-enanced-viewport-switching-update
vizbiz
Great Script! Works like a charm and doubled my work speed. Thank you very much.
