Saving Archicad as skp file - please help

Im newly employed at a firm which use archicad to do 3D render stills. I'm an avid sketchup user and want to export the archicad file (or save as skp) the google earth connection

From there I want to prepare the model for 3DS Max where I want to render it with vray.

 

I've saved the archicad file to skp, however I cannot see any edges on my geometry in sketchup... does you have any advice on what im doign wrong or if there is a better workflow? Importing hte SKP file into 3ds is a breeze so thats not the issue, its just that I cannot see the edges when importing into skp from archicad. See screenshot (oh and ive also played with the styles to see if the edges were hidden in which they werent)

Oh and they use Archicad 15 here...
