TomA
Hi I'm struggling to get my alpha channels (16bit RGB tif files) into a 16bit RGB psd file. I use control/left click to select the alpha then right click-duplicate channel and it is not giving me the option to copy into the psd. Any ideas or other ways to import alphas? Thanks in advance. Tommy L
Are the PSDs the same size?
TomA
The files are the same size yes, but I'm only working with one psd. The alphas I'm using are all tif files.
Tommy L
when you have the PSD as your current file go to Select - Load Selection - then choose the open .TIFF from the dropdown. If its not there then for some reason its incompatible. Usually its either the mode (bit-depth / CMYK etc) or its a different size that makes it unable to work. Otherwise you can select your channel, make it a solid on a layer and drag/drop the layer to the new file. Then you flatten it and copy/paste to a channel. TomA
I'd changed the camera focal length and frame width in the alpha Max file. When I adjusted it to match the psd, the tiff files imported fine. So as you suggested it was a size compatibility issue. Thanks
