Archimy
Hi, So last week Ali Rahim have a lecture at Sci-ARC and I could barely pay attention to what he was saying because the whole time i was trying to figure out how he does his models. each panel appears to be different and with the back-lit seams between them... I mean come on! I'm pretty good with grasshopper but I can't achieve anything like this. I assume he's using maya and probably some zbrush but thats all i've got. If anybody knows, or has an idea about how to begin to create something like this please let me know! I'm stumped!
Tommy L
You can do all that in max polymodeling and meshsmooth.

RyderSK
I am pretty sure (like 90perc.) his models are built in Rhino using nurbs. You also have nurbs in Maya but I doubt he would use it. It's also "sculpt", no parametrics using Grasshoper, very same method like Zaha's models. Definitely no Zbrush everywhere. And yea, it's possible using poly tools but it would be extremely awkward, unpredictable and un-precise, not taking into account how would he manufacture it then. Heh, I am few minutes from their office in SoHO now, I'll check it out :- )
