philipdutoit
Hi guys, Was wondering if you guys can please help me. I'm currently working on a scene with about 4M polys. When I isolate objects my fps is 100+ but when I go back to the main scene it falls to 4-5 fps. Is there a way to optimize the viewport or quality because I can't work in that lag especially if there is fine detail to be done. Any help will be appreciated! If it's my PC can you maybe just tell me what needs to upgraded for a better result My setup is: - 8GB RAM DDR3 - 2.67 GHz i5 (this could be overclocked if needed to 3.2 GHz) - 64 bit OS Windows 8 - Working on 2013 3ds Max - AMD Radeon HD 5770 Series - Memory clock speed: 800 MHz GDDR5 - Memory data rate: 3.2 Gbps GDDR5 Thanks in advance! paneli
Not a problem at all, this is just it. There are the following solutions: 1. On the less used objects in scene use Display as Box. Most plugins (those I use) support this feature. 2. Upgrade your GPU. IMO there's nothing to look at the FirePro/Quadro category. Just go Nvidia GTX 760 and that's it. I get 80fps+ even in 10M+ poly with GTX 780.
