Hi

I am looking for solutions that offers me an interactive interpretation of a building and/or its surroundings. What is the best on the market right now? I need to be able to create content myself, not that some third party company has to do it.

I am waiting for the 3d pdf to be available for mobile devices/pads, but it hasn't happened yet. I am getting impatient.

Any suggestions accepted with a big "thank you"!

As a side note: Why is it that little activity in this part of the forum, is it because people posts in the general category? :(

I suggest to try http://www.cl3ver.com. It's a cloud based platform that allow you to import your 3D models and create interactive 3D presentations and virtual tours very fast and without the need of 3rd parties. The scene is available on the browser so no need for plugins and you can share it with anyone via a link. It's very intuitive and easy to use, sometimes described as the "3D Prezi".It offer a Free sign Up.

Check this link which is the output you can get: http://www.cl3ver.com/gallery/

Yes thanks. Just testing a project as we speak, and got it to work on iphone, just to find out that it seems like it is using images for the rotation, and that buttons and interactivity seemed crippled compared to what I get on my workstation. Import was very easy though. I also tested the steps functionality, which definitely makes this a good project specific tool for presentation of architecture. I understand that you are working for Cl3ver, but anyway, if you would care to elaborate about what we can expect on mobile devices that would be good. Just sequenced images or actual interactivity. I also wonder if there is any walkthrough cameras in this tool?

The iOS App is in development and announced "coming soon" in the product page. We actually presented it at the World Mobile Congress last month but now CL3VER scenes are available in iOS and Android in HTML5, this is why you see those problems with buttons. Once the App will be on the app store, when iOS users will try to access a scene, they will be asked to download the app and so they will have a very immersive experience, same as on a desktop device.

About the walkthrough camera question I don't understand very well what you mean. You can add any camera in the scene and then create a virtual tour using steps, and we have a video tutorial for this.

P.S. Yes I work in CL3VER and I'm trying to understand and investigate the needs of architects and visualization studios to improve the product.

For simple stuff I have heard of people using simlab. It seems to be a fairly straightforward pathway for viewing 3d pdf on tablets...of course you have to compose the pdf using their software and then view it with their viewer app, but seems better than having to set up an IDE and apply/pay for development licenses.

Hi Jon, yes we are working on it and it's good to know we are going to the right direction (http://www.cl3ver.com/blog/cl3ver-enables-architects-to-communicate-their-designs-through-interactive-3d-presentations-now-on-ios/). I don't understand what you mean by "walkthrough cameras". With "Steps" you can create customized walkthrough, connecting different camera views. Or do you mean like a freecamera where the user navigate enywhere in the scene?
