Hi,

 

I'm a 3dsmax user but one of my client will provide me some renders made with cinema.

 

I use a render element in max called "wire color" that assigns matte colors to different objects in the scene.

 

Is there something similar in cinema?

Last i used C4D it didn't have any kind of native material ID pass. From what I have quickly googled it doesn't seem to be a feature that is implemented yet (Sorely need it if you ask me, a hole in what is great software). 3rd party apps for it do like vray etc, not as if that's any help.

I hope i understand you right. Do you want the wireframe in the ViewPort colored?

If yes, click on the object -> Basic -> "Use Color" change to "On" -> Set your prefered Display color in the box.

 

For colored matte render passes, there is a way to do it with MultiPass Render and Object Buffers.

I don't use cinema but I'd like to ask this pass to my client next time as it saves me a lot of time in photoshop.

 

Do you have a link or tutorial where it shows the process to get this pass?
