jonathanpatrick
Hello.. i'm need to the site. I am looking for any pointers and advice on how to take this scene to the next level. Thanks iN
philippelamoureux
I'm not an expert but you should allow the sunlight to enter the room. It will give some life to your image! I think it looks a bit flat with the current lights. Adding ambient occlusion will add alot of realism too. Good luck
ashleyclarke
You have a nice clean render but as has been said, it's very flat. You've got a large window open to the outside but there is no light coming though it. In real life that would be the main and possibly sole light source in the room. Use a Vray sun or direct light and have it set up to shine through the window and see how you go from there.
jonathanpatrick
I will try the ambient occlusion, but can this be produced with vray?
jonathanpatrick
Thank you. I am new to lighting. I will try the vray sun. I do agree that would make a huge difference.
Chris MacDonald
Definitely have your "primary" light source as the window if it is a daytime shot - also you should definitely increase the exposure of the picture you've photoshopped outside, it's way too dark. RyderSK
1. Reference Right on. This should be made into first commandment of archviz: Thou shalt worship the reference until your mind is trained to genius level to freestyle (never).
Scott Schroeder
Right on. This should be made into first commandment of archviz: Thou shalt worship the reference until your mind is trained to genius level to freestyle (never). Print this out, frame it, and hang it above your workstation to see each and everyday.
Ismael
"Thou shalt worship the reference until your mind is trained to genius level to freestyle (never)." How many times a day we get a blog from a first time poster asking for help in reaching realism for a piece they just concocted and that, not even imagined! So much easier if the question was based on a reference goal.
erkutacar
remove the blinds and open a window. add a curtain flowing with the wind. place plants inside white pebbles. put a self illuminating texture on the tv screen, maybe a music video frame. uve got a bar there, add a shelf on the wall and some bottles on it. turn off the chandalier and turn on the table lamp. remove the wall on the left next to the pillar and make it corridoor. it will give more depth to the scene. add dvd boxes on the shelf above the tv. and i think u should use a darker stone texture or maybe parquet.
