javiergomez
Hi there guys, this is my firts post after lurking this forums for years. I am a 3d artist who is switching from Maya+MR to 3dsMax+VR, and I gotta say I'm loving it so far. I'm here for an answer I can't seem to find anywhere. I'm trying to render some plants with the clasical alpha as opacity an everything works fine until I try to render AO pass. The thing is all objects with attached alpha show as planes in the AO pass and I can't find a way to fix this. And this is becoming a HUGE problema the more I work with max. Currently I just tried global switches> override material with vraylightmtl+vraydirt. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance. PS this site is amazing. jasonstewart
You will need to exclude the plants from the override and create a material for each one with the correct opacity map.
