michaelsmith1
I am trying to create a corrugated material displacement in Maxwell Render but it does not want to work. I have created a simple test material by using the car paint modifier and then applying a displacement map as follows: If I create a plane in Maxwell Studio by importing a primitive object (Plane 8 x 8) and render the displacement material it works and looks like this: However, If i create a plane in sketchup and apply the material, it no longer looks like what it does in studio: And... If I create a plane in sketchup and bring it into maxwell studio and render, it looks like this: How Can I get my displacement to work properly in both sketchup and studio?? numerobis
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UV_mapping same problem as in your first thread... and if you want a displacement that is indepentant of the texture/object size, you need to set an absolute height instead of the percental value.
