Vray not utilising full extent of computer

Hi there, fairly new to 3d modelling and currently learning the basics of rendering using Vray in Sketchup.

 

The specs of my current laptop is:

 

Core i7 4710hq @ 2.50 GHz

12Gb ram

Nvidia gtx 860m 2gb + integrated Intel HD 4000

Vray 2.0

Sketchup 2014

 

The issue is that whilst carrying out an exterior render, time to completion is around 3/4 hours. Similar time resulted when tested on a 2010 Macbook Pro 13, which utilises far inferior specs.

 

My first guess was that my integrated gpu was being used instead, however I have switch my nvidia global settings to high perfomance. And when selected RT render with RT enabled and GPU CUDA mode selected, only 1 thread was set up.
