U don't have a low quality setup as U said... 1000 for LC, 40 sd's for irradiance, color and normal thresholds are low(maybe too low), so my bet is that calc is taking too long. That would depend on the res too, of course... U have a Mitchell filter with 0/2 AA, so I would categorize it into high presets, rather than low.. try this, with which I get away with, mostly min/max would depend on the res, your's looks ok like as it is now. clr 0.8 nrm 0.5 dist 0.1 then U can try lower hsph. and higher interp.. if it sucks, increase clr and norm gradually and don't blame me. my 2 cents.. cheers!
