stayinwonderland
So they took away the ability to change the output gamma in max 2015. Just using Vray which is set to 2.2, looks fine in the VFB but when I save it's really bright. What's the workflow I should be using?
stayinwonderland
please help, desperate. The CurrentDefaults.ini doesn't do anything when changed to 1.0 and saved. Edited June 24, 2016 by stayinwonderland
James Vella
this will work perfectly for this; http://jamesvella.blogspot.com.au/p/tutorial.html
stayinwonderland
thanks, will have a read of that. such a shame they got rid of this. I had a mess around which resulted in more or less the right 'kind' of gamma, but the result of the whole scene had a subtle change in light quality. Not good. Josef Wienerroither
i think entering "fileOutGamma=1.0" in the maxscript listener before saving should work
