VRay only rendering clean image if I select a small region render

Hi All,

Can anyone please help me, this is driving me insane.

I have a 3Ds Max 2016 scene, rendered with VRay 3.40.01 and the problem is that the render is really noisy. I know that the settings are fine because when I do a region render the section renders cleanly.

Has anyone experienced this before? Do you know of a fix?

I've done a complete re-install of VRay but to no avail. I have a decent graphics card (GeForce GTX 970 along with 32 GB Ram).

Hi,

 

Your render time in progessive is set to 1 minute, so small areas will render cleaner then bigger ones. Up that number, or change to bucket mode.
