VRayEdgesTex not rendering

When assigning "VRayEdgesTex" as a "Diffuse" material, while the light cache is building I can see the wireframes properly, but as the actual rendering starts, and the passes increase, the wireframe disappears and the object becomes full.

 

Am I missing something in my rendering parameters? Happens on Vray RT.

Notes

The Color feature of VRayEdgesTex is not yet available in V-Ray RT when the engine type is set to CUDA. However, the Rounded Corners feature is fully supported.

When applied to displaced or subdivided objects, VRayEdgesTex will normally show the edges of the original mesh, as shown on this displaced teapot:
